Job summary

Everett Public Schools seeks a Grades 6-8 Substantially Separate Classroom Teacher to implement IEP services for students with cognitive developmental disabilities in small groups. The role requires collaboration with SLP, OT, PT, and BCBA to support inclusive learning and student progress.

Requires a Bachelor's in Education/Special Education and MA licensure for Moderate/Severe disabilities, plus SEI endorsement. Master’s degree preferred with 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education/Special Education is required.
• MA licensure for PreK-8 with Moderate/Severe Disabilities is required.
• SEI Endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and respectful learning environment with clear schedules and routines.
• Daily application of the basic principles of ABA.
• Plan and facilitate lessons and accommodations for in-person learning aligned with State Standards.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other special education teachers.
• Support students in accessing the inclusion setting and promoting inclusion.
