Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a passionate Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year at our Tucson campus. Provide rigorous, standards-aligned instruction, build foundational literacy and numeracy, and foster social-emotional growth in Title I communities.

Collaboration with PLCs, coaches, and families is a key part of this role. Ideal candidates will have Elementary Education certification or a Bachelor’s in Education, a track record of strong classroom management, and

  • Must hold valid Elementary Education certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
  • Three+ years of K–8 teaching experience preferred.
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required per district policy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver standards-aligned instruction for kindergarten students.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learner needs and monitor progress.
  • Utilize data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
  • Establish a structured, positive classroom culture with PBIS.
  • Engage families and conduct regular conferences on student progress.
