Job summary

Aiken County Public Schools RS-M Elementary School in Ridge Spring, SC is seeking a Full-Time SPED Bus Driver (180 Days) to safely transport students and support a positive start and end to their school day.

You will work with a dedicated transportation team, perform daily safety checks, and follow set routes with an emphasis on student welfare. Training and commitment to safety are provided as part of a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid SC driver’s license; CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements preferred, but training is offered.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Follow scheduled routes while maintaining timely arrivals and departures.
• Ensure the safety of all students while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in excellent working condition.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff when needed.
