Aiken County Public Schools is seeking a PRN SPED Bus Driver (180 Days) at Silver Bluff High School in Aiken, SC. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have no more than four (4) points on driving record and no suspensions in the prior year.
• Ability to pass physical and DOT requirements.

Responsabilités

• Operates a school bus following state laws, district policies and safety regulations.
• Transports students with disabilities, ensuring safety and dignity per IEPs/BIPs/Health Plans.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus and equipment safety.
• Attends safety meetings and trainings as scheduled by district transportation staff.
• Uses calm, patient behavior-management in collaboration with monitors and staff.
• Maintains accurate student counts, seating charts and time logs.
• Safely load/unload and secure students requiring wheelchairs or other equipment.
• Communicate clearly with monitors, staff, and parents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Report incidents or equipment malfunctions to Transportation Supervisor promptly.
• Follow routes and schedules; notify supervisor of delays or hazards.
• Participate in drills or actual evacuations as required.
