Job summary

James Elementary in Princeton, Texas is seeking a SPED Resource/Inclusion Teacher to support inclusive practices and core subject instruction. Responsibilities include planning lessons, using diverse instructional strategies, assessing progress, and supervising aides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Special: AED/CPR certification referenced for PE teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials aligned to student needs and TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instructional activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage student behavior.
• Establish and sustain professional communication with parents and colleagues.
• Participate in staff development and comply with regulations.
