Job summary

Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a SPED Instructional Assistant/Personal Care for the 2026-27 school year. This non-interim position is 9 months, 6.75 hours per day, Grade 16, paying $16.99 per hour. Benefits include ASRS, paid sick/personal time, medical and optional dental/vision.

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Starting 8/3/2026 through 5/27/2027, the role supports students one-on-one following IEPs and safety protocols, under the supervision of teachers and site

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow safety practices and maintain accurate records.
• Experience or training in working with high-risk youth is noted in responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Assists medically fragile or developmentally delayed students with personal care.
• Communicates with teachers and health professionals to support IEP goals.
• Documents daily activities and maintains logs for accountability.
• Monitors student behavior and implements behavior plans as directed.
• Maintains files and records to meet mandated requirements.
• Models appropriate social behavior and supports safe classroom environment.
