Job summary

Barnesville High School in Minnesota is seeking a caring, dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. This 30-hour-per-week role supports students with disabilities to succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and functionally.

Responsibilities include providing instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support, working with students one-on-one or in small groups, and collaborating with staff while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to IEPs.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework totaling 60 credits.
• Three years of relevant work experience or training; or
• Passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students receiving special education services.
• Assist students in special education and general education classrooms and throughout the school day.
• Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to reinforce instruction and develop academic and functional skills.
• Support student independence while providing assistance consistent with each student's IEP.
• Supervise and support students in classrooms and other school settings.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, related-service providers, administrators, and other staff.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow all district policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
