Job summary

Connected Roots Care Center in Omaha, NE is seeking part-time and full-time Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessionals to support school-age students with behavioral, developmental, and neurotypical needs through academic and behavioral assistance in the classroom. Positions available at NW Center (2pm-5:30pm) and SW Center (2/2:30pm-5:30pm); full-time floater from 9am-5:30pm.

Starting pay $17-19/hour; high school diploma required; childcare experience or education courses preferred;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent per childcare regulations.
• One year experience in licensed childcare or public school preferred.
• Ability to adhere to work schedules.
• Patience and flexibility in handling clients, parents, and team members.
• Completion of Personal Care Aide training with RN sign-off as required by regulations.
• Completion of Positive Behavioral Supports and Crisis Intervention training.
• CEU hours required annually based on weekly hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and behavioral support in the classroom.
• Assist school-age students with behavioral, developmental, and neurotypical needs.
• Work as a paraprofessional at NW or SW centers with varied schedules.
