Hambrick Elementary is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support students with special education needs under the supervision of a certified teacher. The role emphasizes implementing IEP-driven accommodations, small group or one-on-one instruction, behavior support, data collection, and collaboration with the teaching team to promote high academic expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and pass GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Optionally hold an associate degree or higher from a GA PSC-approved college.
• Must have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a 2.0+ GPA.
• Required paraprofessional certificate from GA PSC.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical and personal care per IEP, under teacher supervision.
• Provide small group or one-on-one instruction aligned with lesson plans.
• Monitor behavior and support classroom management for a conducive environment.
• Assist with progress monitoring, data collection, and testing support.
• Prepare instructional materials and ensure readiness for sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with FERPA.
