Job summary

The Kent School District is hiring a paraeducator to support classrooms on a 190‑day KAP calendar. The position is paid hourly, with a wage range of $30.89 to $37.99 per hour and a daily schedule of 6.5 hours.

Applicants must meet Washington state paraeducator requirements, such as an AA degree or 72 college credits or a ParaPro score of 455+, or may apply and complete the test after selection.

Paraeducator Requirements

Prior to starring, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
