Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Paraeducator Assistant II to support Special Education classrooms at Caughlin Ranch Elementary School. This temporary 30 hours per week position assists teachers with instruction and prepares instructional materials, while maintaining student records and data for IEPs.

Position requires detailed data collection, behavior management, and collaboration with SPED teams; may involve working in EC/SIP/STRAT programs and community vocational tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus experience in paraeducator roles is preferred.
• Ability to assist in individual and small-group instruction in SPED settings.
• Familiarity with data collection and behavioral support strategies for autism or developmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with lesson planning and instructional delivery.
• Prepare and organize lesson outlines, materials, and teaching aids.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and assessment data.
• Support SPED programs (EC, SIP, STRAT) with data collection and progress reporting.
