Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a SPED Para Professional - DLC - Tier 3 to support students with cognitive and communication delays in a specialized programming setting at Hosea Elementary School. Responsibilities include assisting teachers, data collection for IEP goals, and crisis support under supervision.

Salary follows the district education salary schedule. Requires high school diploma or GED, Substitute or Teacher certificate, and potential MANDT certification within the first opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must provide a copy of High School Diploma or transcripts, or proof of GED.
• Must obtain or possess a current Substitute Certificate or a Teacher Certificate prior to start date.
• May be required to pursue and obtain MANDT Certification at the first available opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Attend work reliably and punctually.
• Telework may be requested with supervisor approval.
• Assist teacher with clerical duties and classroom routines.
• Administers classroom assignments to support instruction.
• Communicate with teachers and parents regarding progress and IEP objectives.
• Monitor students in various settings to provide a safe, positive learning environment.
• Report observations to instructional/administrative staff.
• Respond to emergencies and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Assist students with lessons, mobility, and crisis situations as needed.
• Demonstrate understanding of student needs and use assistive devices appropriately.
• Support data collection for IEP goals and progress.

Education
