Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field is required.
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license is required.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in the community, with belief in all students’ access to high-quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.

Responsibilities

  • Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
  • Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and enforces conduct and behavior in line with district policy.
  • Observes, evaluates, reports, and records students’ performance, behavior, social development, and health.
  • Prepares outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines.
  • Establishes and communicates clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
  • Presents subject matter using various teaching methods and technology and adapts to learning styles.
  • Instructs students individually and in groups with different methods.
  • Prepares, administers, grades tests, and reports grades using District software.
  • Prepares attendance and activity reports as required by administrators.
  • Communicates with parents/guardians and staff to resolve behavioral and academic problems.
