Job summary

Big Lake Public Schools in Liberty Elementary is seeking a paraeducator SPED to support instructional activities. You will work under licensed staff to reinforce reading, math, science and student learning, 1:1 or in small groups, following IEPs and behavior plans.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree or 60 semester credits, or ParaPro score 460, plus experience with children or in a school setting. You’ll prepare materials, record tests and manage classroom records.

Qualifications

• Requires AA degree or 90 quarter credits (60 semester).
• ParaPro score of 460 or higher.
• Experience with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Coursework in child development or learning/behavior management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and assistance to students.
• Reinforce reading, math, science per lesson plans.
• Record tests, copy materials, correct papers/tests.
• Maintain classroom records, files and supplies.
