Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and ability to perform clerical tasks.
• Experience supervising children and implementing accommodations.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Willingness to participate in required trainings.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers with classroom duties, including recording grades and preparing instructional materials.
• Support students during instructional activities (one-on-one, small groups, whole group) and document progress.
• Escort students to and from the bus and supervise during lunch/recess as indicated by IEP.
• Provide clerical support and maintain records; order supplies/materials as needed.
• Implement accommodations in a child’s IEP as directed by the teacher.
• Perform other related duties as required.
