Job summary

Young World Physical Education is looking for a SPED Instructional Assistant for Desert Trails Elementary School to support special needs students. Responsibilities include adapting class materials, assisting medically fragile students, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

This position requires experience, a high school diploma, and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and other clearances. The role is scheduled for 9 months at 6.5 hours/day, starting from August 3, 2026.

Qualifications

• Job related experience is desired.
• CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, QBS Certificate (to be maintained) are required.
• Clear Criminal Background Clearance and Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities to support objectives.
• Assist medically fragile or disabled students with tasks.
• Monitor students' behavior to maintain a safe environment.
