Description/Notes:
The Special Education (SPED) Instructional Aide is essential in fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all scholars, especially those with diverse academic and behavioral needs. Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, the aide provides targeted one-on-one support to help students achieve academic and behavioral goals. This role upholds Beta Academy's standards of excellence and contributes to a joyful, rigorous, and respectful learning environment.
Education/Certification:
Certified Educational Aide preferred OR
High school diploma and 48 hours of higher education OR
Associate degree OR
Successful completion of the THEA or equivalent core academic examination.
Experience:
Six months to one year of experience in an educational setting, ideally in special education, is preferred. Experience with instructional support and student management is beneficial.
Reports To:
SPED Lead Teacher and Assistant Principal
Employment Terms:
Full-time / 188 Duty Day Calendar / Hourly, Non-Exempt/ 100% Onsite
