Job summary

Schultz Junior High School in Waller, Texas is seeking a Paraprofessional-Inclusive Practices to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will assist in general education, bilingual and resource settings and help implement instructional programs.

The position is non-exempt, 7.5 hours daily across 187 days per year, with an hourly wage starting at $14.16 and based on experience. Bilingual abilities and a TEA Education Aide Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Education Aide Certification preferred.
• Two years experience working with children.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt instructional materials under the direction of the teacher.
• Work one-on-one and in small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Collect data regarding student progress.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Help manage behavior and support student needs.
• Supervise students across campus as assigned.
