Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a SPED Instructional Assistant II to support students with IEPs at Ridgeview Elementary School. You will assist the licensed teacher with classroom activities and interventions, and provide health and safety support as needed.

The role requires two years of college credits or an associate degree, plus Para-Pro or equivalent certification; First Aid/CPR and de-escalation training are also required or pursued on hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit (48 semester credit hours) from an accredited university, excluding remedial courses; or an Associate's Degree; or a passing score on the Para-Pro exam.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification and De-escalation and Restraint certification.
• Pre-employment Physical Exam required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher.
• Adapts classroom work to address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
• Administers classroom assignments and tests; manages makeup work as needed.
