Job summary

Clover Park School District Beachwood Elementary-JBLM in Washington is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator II to support SPED Functional Academics for students in K-5. Starting date is To Be Determined. Pay ranges from $29.23 to $32.73 per hour with a 6.75-hour day and 191 work days per year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher required with one of: passing board approved assessment, associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, or completion of an approved paraeducator apprenticeship.
• Two years of successful work experience with special education students.
• Board approved assessments requirements (ParaPathways, ParaPro, Pearson Paraprofessional, Master Teacher) with passing scores as specified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IEP preparation and timelines under the classroom teacher guidance.
• Help implement behavior management techniques and instructional programs.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups as directed by the special education teacher.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medical interventions as trained.
