Job summary

St. Helens High School in Oregon is seeking an Educational Assistant - SpEd to support special education staff. The role is a 0.94 FTE position (7.5 hours daily) beginning immediately and located at the high school.

You will work with students with disabilities in small groups and one-on-one, assist with IEPs, testing, and progress tracking. Qualifications include an AA degree, 72 credits, or related experience, and No Child Left Behind compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 1–2 years related experience.
• Meets No Child Left Behind requirements.
• Experience in school setting or with Special Needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education staff in small group and one-on-one settings.
• Implement IEP modifications as requested by teacher.
• Record keeping, testing, attendance and progress reporting.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials and supplies, and coordination with parents.
