Job summary

Five Town Community School District is seeking a SpEd Ed Tech III for the Rising Tide therapeutic day treatment program at Camden Hills Regional High School. The role supports students in grades 9-12 with diverse needs within a self-contained setting.

Work 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, 190 days per year, with benefits including health and dental insurance and a 403(b). Collaboration with teachers, data recording, and crisis support are essential duties.

Qualifications

• Background check, including fingerprinting.
• Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III authorization preferred; Education Technician II authorization would be paid at Ed Tech II rate.
• Special Education experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and behavioral support to students in grades 9-12 with identified special education needs.
• Assist in the delivery of instruction within a self-contained program setting.
• Collaborate with supervising teachers and content specialists to implement pre-planned lessons and activities.
• Provide immediate support and guidance to students experiencing a behavioral crisis.
• Aid in maintaining accurate records of data, interventions, and student progress.
• Promote positive social interactions.
