Job summary

FRANZ ELEMENTARY in Katy, Texas seeks an Aide - SPED - ECSE to assist the teacher with instructional needs and direct student support. Reports to the Principal and works 187 duty days per year as a non-exempt paraprofessional.

Qualified candidates will have required college hours or ParaPro score, Paraprofessional Aide certification, and CPI certification upon employment. Safe handling and assistive care duties are included.

Qualifications

• Must have 48 college hours or ParaPro 464 for Title I campus
• For Non-Title I campus, 15 college hours or HS diploma/GED with 464 ParaPro
• Paraprofessional Educational Aide certificate II required once employed
• CPI certification required once employed

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policies for SPED paraprofessionals and child care facilities.
• Participate in in-services and professional growth activities.
• Assist in carrying out instructional program and materials.
• Maintain confidential student records and data for progress.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of instructional materials/equipment.
• Assist with teacher-planned activities and drills.
• Provide personal care as identified in student IEPs.
• Assist in implementing therapy programs and behavior interventions.
• Attend required professional meetings.
• Support SHARS duties as assigned.
