Qualifications include Title I specific hours or ParaPro score, Non-Title I hours with diploma, CPI and Paraprofessional Aide certificate II; ability to work with children with disabilities and to follow instructions; familiarity with office equipment.

Qualifications

Requires Title I campus: 48 college hours or ParaPro score 464.
Non-Title I campus: 15 college hours or diploma/GED with 464.
Ability to work with children with disabilities.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of general office equipment.
Paraprofessional Educational Aide certificate II required once employed.
CPI certification required once employed.

Responsibilities

Assist the teacher with instructional needs.
Adhere to policies and procedures related to special education paraprofessionals.
Assist in carrying out the instructional program.
Maintain confidential student records and data.
Prepare, use and maintain instructional materials and equipment.
Assist with teacher-planned activities, exercises and drills.
Assist with self-care activities as needed.
Assist in implementing therapy programs as required.
Attend professional meetings as required.
Provide instructional support and accommodations for students.
Other duties as assigned.
