Job summary

Hutto ISD is seeking a SpEd District Behavior Specialist to lead and enhance behavioral supports for students with significant needs across PreK-12. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing, implementing, and coaching on comprehensive behavioral programming for campus administrators and teaching staff.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in behavioral principles, a Texas teaching certificate, and relevant certifications (SAMA, BCBA preferred).

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic behavioral principles.
• SAMA certified, or willing/able to be certified within 30 days of hire.
• BCBA preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Minimum of three years' experience teaching regular or special education.
• Minimum of two years' experience working with students with significant behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement behavioral programming for students with significant behavioral needs, PreK-12.
• Coach campus administration and educators on behavioral programming.
