Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional programs for students.
• Collect data and maintain confidential student records and charts to determine progress.
• Assist with self-care of students including toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.
• Implement activities recommended by support and related service personnel.
• Assist in behavior intervention strategies and with assistive technology devices.
• Carry out activities described in the student’s IEP under teacher supervision.
• Prepare and duplicate instructional materials and maintain equipment used in student programs.
• Provide personal care as identified in IEPs.
