Job summary

NOTTINGHAM COUNTRY ELEMENTARY in Katy, TX seeks a SPED Aide to support students with disabilities and assist teachers in implementing instructional programs. The role involves data collection, confidential records handling, and following IEP directives under supervision.

Starting immediately, the position requires Title I qualification or HS diploma with ParaPro 464, plus CPI certification after hire. 187 duty days, non-exempt, IS04 pay grade, with a full-time schedule in a school setting.

Qualifications

• College hours 48 minimum or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test for Title I campus.
• College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED with 464 on ParaPro for Non-Title I campus.
• Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed.
• CPI certification required once employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional program for students.
• Collect data and maintain confidential student records and charts.
• Assist with self-care of students including toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.
• Support activities as recommended by support and related service personnel.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and use assistive tech devices as needed.
• Carry out activities described in student IEP under teacher supervision.
• Prepare and duplicate instructional materials for lessons.
• Help maintain/clean equipment used in student programs.
• Provide non-medical procedures such as tube feeding when required.
• Assist all students in Special Ed as needed.
• Perform other SHARS duties as assigned.
• Provide personal care as identified in student IEPs.
