Job summary

SST Corpus Christi College Prep HS in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an Educational Sped Aide to support classroom teachers and students. The position is full-time with school hours, offering an hourly wage range of $17.50 to $26.56.

The aide will assist with student goals, classroom management, and data collection for ARD/IEP processes, while helping plan and implement differentiated instruction. Prior work with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Minimum of 48 college hours is preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) with student academic goals, by working with small groups of children or an individual child.
• Assist teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
• Assist with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assist teacher(s) in the preparation of paperwork for the ARD/IEP process. Collects and enters data for completion of special education reports and documents.
• Assist teacher(s) with the planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
