Job summary

Pasadena Independent School District seeks a SPED ABLE I Aide to support the special education teacher in the daily training program at Mae Smythe Elementary School.

Responsibilities include classroom management, material prep, and assisting with feeding, hygiene, and student supervision. Prior experience with children and IEP understanding are valued to help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PAC Test and/or 48 college hours required.
• Bilingual testing may be required if applicable.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with routine classroom management duties.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain supplies.
• Support students in homework, tests, and instructional activities.
• Assist with feeding, personal hygiene and safe positioning as needed.
• Ensure students' safety and follow behavior plans.
