Job summary

NV5 is seeking a dedicated Spectral Analyst to support NASIC/NSIC operations from Dayton, OH. You will utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze non-literal electro‑optical data and produce technical reports, algorithms, and workflows.

The role requires an STEM degree, 2+ years of spectral analysis experience, active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, and strong technical writing. Collaboration with spectral scientists and adherence to security training are essential.

Qualifications

STEM‑related degree required (Masters/Doctorate in Chemistry, Physics, Imagery Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science).
2+ years demonstrated experience in spectral analysis.
Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Strong technical writing and briefing skills (MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data to produce and disseminate GEOINT products.
Perform non-literal exploitation of passive sensor data (multispectral, hyperspectral or thermal infrared).
Combine exploitation results with contextual findings to bring meaningful interpretation to non-literal results.
Perform quality assurance and control review for own and team members' products prior to dissemination.
Collaborate with spectral scientists to develop workflows for processing unique datasets using physics-based analysis.
Identify workflow steps that can be automated.
Complete all mandatory security training and sensor discipline training.
