Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and process laboratory specimens in a high-volume production environment.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate specimen records.
• Prepare specimens through centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and other processing functions.
• Ensure proper handling and routing of specimens to laboratory departments.
• Follow established quality, safety, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and laboratory staff.
• Adapt to changing priorities and workload demands as needed.

As a Specimen Technician, you'll help ensure the accurate processing and handling of laboratory specimens that support critical diagnostic testing and contribute to quality healthcare outcomes.

Pay Rate:

$19.68 - $22.64 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type:

Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM, with a rotating Saturday once every 3 weeks

• Strong data entry skills with the ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a biohazard laboratory environment
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Previous laboratory, medical, hospital, or production environment experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
• Must be eligible and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
