Job summary

College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy in Sanford, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor to support laboratory operations. You will perform specimen receiving, processing, and distribution, and prepare shipments to reference labs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program or six months of Phlebotomy experience; certification preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program or at least 6 months of Phlebotomy experience required;Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; computer experience required.
• Working knowledge of handling blood/body fluid and other laboratory specimens preferred; on-the-job training provided to qualified candidates.

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; computer experience required.
• Working knowledge of handling blood/body fluid and other laboratory specimens preferred, in accordance with infection control guidelines. Knowledge of specimen processing, phlebotomy, a background in science or an equivalent aptitude preferred. On the job training will be provided to a qualified candidate.

Valid Driver’s License with good driving record to meet criteria to drive FirstHealth vehicle.
