Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Woodland Park, NJ. The role supports clinical specimen accessioning, sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment onsite with client offices.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of lab or related experience. Strong data entry, attention to detail and ability to work in a team are essential. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am- 6:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

The position, Specimen Processing Specialist, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Benefits:

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
