Job summary

Labcorp in Woodland Park, NJ is hiring a Specimen Processing Specialist II to join our fast-paced, high-throughput lab team onsite. You will accession specimens, sort samples, perform data entry, and ensure accurate labeling and timely processing for client offices. A high school diploma and 1 year of related experience are required; MS Office skills are preferred.

The role offers consistent daytime hours and comprehensive benefits. Pay range: $17.75–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse.
• Preferred: 1 year or more medical or patient-facing healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Woodland Park, NJ.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:30am– 6:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

The position, Specimen Processing Specialist, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
