Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Brick, NJ team. The role supports clinical specimen accessioning, sorting, and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment. You will handle specimens, label and route them, and help maintain production goals.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 6:00pm–2:30am with Saturdays as needed; requires at least a high school diploma and comfort with lifting up to 40lbs. Benefits and equal opportunity employment information are included.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 1 year or more of medical or production experience

• Ability to accurately identify specimens

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
