Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time on-site role involves preparing specimens for analysis, accurate data entry, and ensuring smooth workflow in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Responsibilities include labeling, packing, shipping specimens, and collaborating with client office staff, with a focus on meeting production goals and maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Chattanooga, TN

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 4PM-12:30AM; rotating Sundays 9 AM-12 PM; rotating holidays and overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Communicate effectively with client office staff
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
  • 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment
Additional Job Standards
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

The Specimen Processing Specialist will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
