Job summary

Labcorp in Elizabeth, NJ is hiring a Specimen Processor I to join our team. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9:00am-2:00pm and Tuesday 9:00am-7:00pm. Prepare specimens for analysis, unpack and route specimens to staging areas, and ensure accurate labeling.

Requires a High School diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; 2+ years in lab/production preferred. Able to lift up to 40lbs and pass a color vision test. Benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
