Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Memphis, TN. Schedule: Monday – Friday 7pm-11pm, rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, labeling, routing, data entry, and ensuring timely processing.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED. Preferred 1 year of lab/production experience, ability to lift 40lbs, and proficient MS Office skills. Labcorp is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
