Job summary

Labcorp in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. The role supports clinical specimen accessioning, sorting and data entry in a fast-paced lab environment, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens for analysis, labeling, routing, and shipping to testing facilities, while meeting production goals. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prefer 1+ year lab experience; MS Office proficiency is a plus.

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Knoxville, TN

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 7pm-3:30am, rotating weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test
