Job summary

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute all samples; coordinate with nursing, phlebotomy, and outpatient draw areas.
• Communicate with other hospital departments to resolve sample issues and clarifications.
• Handle complex emergencies such as trauma, stroke alerts, and disasters with composure.
• Maintain integrity of submitted clinical specimens and logs; ensure proper routing to labs and referrals.
• Prepare and document lab processes, QA records, and temperature logs.
• Assist in clarifying doctor orders with floor staff and outside locations; support lab operations.
