Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Englewood, CO. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM–4:30 AM with rotational Saturdays, and involves preparing specimens for analysis, labeling, routing to staging areas, and data entry for patient information.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED; preferred candidates have 1+ year lab/specimen processing experience and comfort with lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year lab/specimen processing experience.
• Must pass color blindness test; comfortable handling biological specimens; strong data entry and organizational skills; able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
