Job summary

Jobtailor, based in Illinois, seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor to accession, sort, triage, and store specimens, including PBMC isolation and cell-free DNA handling. You will help create and maintain SOPs and troubleshoot specimen-related issues.

Strong communication, accountability, and a hands-on mindset with a desire to teach others are valued traits. You will report to the Specimen Processor Lead and contribute to a collaborative laboratory team.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen accessioning, sorting, triaging, and specimen storage.
• Process specimens, including PBMC isolation, cell-free DNA isolation, and aliquoting.
• Create and maintain Specimen and Biorepository-related SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and reconcile specimen-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Report to the Specimen Processor Lead.
