Job summary

Labcorp Oklahoma seeks a Specimen Accessioner/Processor in Tulsa for PRN 3pm–11:30pm. You will prepare, label, and triage specimens, support the lab workflow, and communicate with clients and patients to ensure accurate processing.

Minimum qualification is a high school diploma; preferred candidates have lab exposure, an associate degree or higher, and some clinical lab experience. Must lift up to 40 lbs and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations and procedures.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
• Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications.
• Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.
• Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
• Provide customer education and information as needed.
• Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
