Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team. Schedule: Tue–Fri 4:00am–12:30pm, Sat 8:30am–5:00pm. You will prepare specimens for analysis, unpack, label, and ship specimens, while ensuring data accuracy and production goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and offers growth in a global healthcare company. Additional qualifications include handling biological specimens, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
