Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Specimen Processing Specialist for 40 hours per week, day shifts, to support pre- and post-analytic lab workflows. You will draw, collect, and process blood and other specimens from identified patients while handling patient information.

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 1 year' experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing. Preferred: additional science courses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year experience performing phlebotomy and specimen processing required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general and routine duties involved in the pre- and post-analytic portions of lab test processing.
• The drawing, collection, and processing of blood and other specimens from positively identified patients and their corresponding required information.
• Records, processes or otherwise enters and manages necessary patient and specimen related information following established methods and procedures.
