Job summary

Responsibilities

• Correctly receives, accessions, processes, and assures proper identification of specimens.
• Evaluates specimen integrity and notifies appropriate personnel of unacceptable specimens.
• Performs laboratory order entry and specimen receiving functions.
• Assigns specific computer-generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy and records all items processed.
