Responsibilities

• Receive and process samples by scanning them into Meditech.
• Register new employees using information they fill out and send on specimen collection forms.
• Site batch all received specimens so they are ready to be sent to Griffin Health’s reference laboratory.
• Tracks and handles unlabeled specimens or issues by adding them to the correct shared document.
• Confirms accuracy of client and specimen details.
• Examines specimens for adequacy, integrity, and appropriateness of specimen.
• Practices effective hand off with Specimen Collection Team Leads & Couriers.
• Performs quality checks on all specimen collection forms.
