Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Phlebotomy/Lab Support Clerk to perform specimen processing, blood collection, data entry, and customer service in support of patient care.

You will follow SOPs, operate centrifuges and lab equipment, restock supplies, and ensure proper labeling and timely specimen handling. Training provided; evening shift, 40 hours weekly, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: exposure/experience in a scientific or laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and blood collections following SOPs.
• Restocks supplies and assists coworkers as needed.
• Enters data and processes lab orders accurately.
• Ensures proper labeling and identification of patient specimens.
• Communicates with patients and staff to support patient care.
• Maintains equipment and monitors quality control.
• Handles time-sensitive specimen collection to avoid delays.
