Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Accessioning Supervisor to lead the Accessioning department in Greenville, NC. The role operates on a bi-weekly rotating day/evening shift and includes supervising staff, ensuring proper staffing, and maintaining QA records.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in a clinical laboratory setting. Preferred candidates may have an Associate degree and supervisory experience. Comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must be able to pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accessioning department.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department.
• Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage.
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts are properly staffed.
• Research and resolve production errors while escalating when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development.
