Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Lab Assistant to support a client medical facility in Harwood Heights, IL. This 1-2 month assignment may extend or convert and requires a HS diploma with data entry capabilities for specimen processing in a fast-paced lab.

The shift runs Monday through Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and education, with an auto-offer role and no interviews.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent. Required knowledge: basic understanding of computers with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing.
• Work Experience: No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical background preferred includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
• Data entry and sample handling.
• Presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory.
• Imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting as needed.
• Learn and adhere to compliance regulations related to test ordering which may change daily.
